DBDG's Summer Sock Campaign hopes to give 1,000 pairs a month to help the nearly 13k who call Skid Row their home.

Here's how we can do together: An extra $5 buys 3 pair. $10 buys 8 pairs. $20 buys 22 pairs. $50 buys 50.

When you donate a little extra this month, you let the poorest among us know you really care in a tangible way.

Socks are gold to the unsheltered. Belongings live in backpacks. Socks are the first to get dirty. But don't take it from us. The video explains why socks offer survival on the streets, staving off sepsis, infections, disease and contamination.

Seems simple, but socks can save someone's life. Those temporary wash stations and toilets provided during the pandemic have disappeared. All of them. Really.

The poorest among us are back to using gutters and sidewalks as bathrooms. Given there's no water to drink out there, finding a way to bathe is virtually non-existent.
